Current Excursions

The Cincinnati area has several public train excursion opportunities.  This page illustrates the current operations.  For more information, visit their respective official websites. this page currently under development

Cincinnati Railway operates regular excursions at it's Lebanon & Mason Railway in Lebanon, Ohio, as well as luxury rail car trips throughout North America.  The Lebanon & Mason Ry. operates on former PRR (nee-CL&N) trackage.  Click on this link for more information on the Cincinnati Railway.  In addition to excursions, Cincinnati Railway in conjunction with the Nickel Plate Road Historical & Technical Society are raising funds to restore former NKP GP30 #85 (seen at right) to it's original NKP paint.  For more information, visit this link.

Whitewater Valley Railroad operates the former NYC Whitewater Division between Connersville and Metamora, Indiana.  The WWV has made quite a splash in rail preservation circles with the recent acquisition of historical locomotives from area lines, preserving and moving a historic B&O interlocking tower, and hosting steam powered trips.  This historic and scenic railroad is a non-profit, volunteer organization and it well worth visiting and riding often.  The photos at right are from the recent visit by Flagg Coal Co. #75.  For more information on the Whitewater Valley, click on this link.
